The Church of the Madonna della Folgore, located in the Valli forest (along the Blerana provincial road leading to Blera), is a small, single-nave parish church whose foundation is linked to a miraculous event: in August 1955, a detachment of Montebello lancers camped in the woods.

The Basilica of Sant'Elia stands on a plateau in the large bend between the rock of Sant'Anna and the ridge of San Michele, in the center of the Suppentonia Valley. The temple, a national monument, is in pure Romanesque style, with elements of Lombard origin. A thousand-year-old tradition holds that the church stands on the site where Emperor Nero erected a temple to Diana the Huntress, and that, as early as the Etruscan period, a Delubrum dedicated to Pico Marzio stood here. At the end of 1960, the entire surface was restored; subsequently, the church's roof was completely redone and the current cobbled floor, bordered by Roman archaeological finds, was created. In 1994, the sculpted surfaces of the façade's portals were restored. The restoration consolidated the main portal and removed the layer of lichen and moss that had formed there, revealing the sculptural decorations.

Construction began in 1711 based on a design by Gian Battista Contini, replacing a much smaller church dedicated to St. Andrew, and was consecrated in 1721. It has a grand interior with a single Latin cross nave, side chapels, and a large apse at the end, featuring a Baroque organ and reliquary by Vittorio Giogolari. The presbytery is covered by a large dome. The transepts feature sumptuous Baroque choir stalls by V. Giogolari. Also worthy of note are a rich 15th-century ciborium and an 18th-century antependium; a gilded silver reliquary depicting an angel holding a shrine (said to have housed a relic of St. Andrew), engraved by the Viterbo goldsmith Pietro Giovanni Anastasio Giudice, is dated 1443. In the right transept is a wooden statue of the Immaculate Virgin, which is carried in procession every 25 years; The centenary of his coronation was solemnly celebrated in 2005.

The Church of Madonna del Ponte, so named because it houses the image of the Madonna del Ponte, is located 3 km from Vetralla, surrounded by rocky nature and among archaeological sites that testify to the presence of pit tombs from the 8th and 6th centuries BC and Etruscan chamber and shaft tombs. The original nucleus of the current town is a small castrum on a spur overlooking the Sant'Antonio Valley.

The Convent of Sant'Angelo on Mount Fogliano, founded in the Lombard period, is nestled in a bucolic, wooded setting. During the Easter holidays, the road that cuts through the forest and ascends to the convent becomes a Stations of the Cross, with the stations located on the right side of the roadway, set into shrines. Finally, near the convent, on May 8th of each year, the "Marriage of the Tree" celebration takes place, during which the deed confirming the ownership of the woods of Mount Fogliano to the people of Vetralla is drawn up, as established in 1432 by Pope Eugene IV. Approximately 1 km east of the Convent of Sant'Angelo is the Hermitage of Sant'Girolamo, a striking hermitage complex, largely carved into the rock.

The church was built between the late 12th and early 13th centuries, perhaps over an older building, and dedicated to Santa Maria in Valle Caiano. At the beginning of the 15th century, with the arrival of a community of Franciscan friars, the dedication was changed to San Francesco. The interior has three naves divided by Romanesque columns. It is undoubtedly the most beautiful church in Vetralla, with its 12th-century mosaic floors and its 17th-century crypt, built from columns taken from the older site of Foro Cassio.

S. Maria della Rosa's Church
S. Maria della Quercia's Church
The Sanctuary of Santa Maria della Quercia is located 2 km from the centre of Viterbo, in the hamlet of La Quercia. Built between 1470 and 1525, the sanctuary's exterior is characterised by a wide staircase and a landing, on which stand two pillars and two columns, evidence of a pre-existing portico. The imposing yet austere façade dates back to 1509. The spacious interior, 90 m long by 24 m wide, is spread over three naves, with a stunning 16th-century coffered ceiling, designed by Antonio da Sangallo the Younger, finely decorated and covered in pure gold, with the Madonna della Quercia, the coat of arms of Paul III and the Lion of Viterbo. At the end of the central nave, in the centre of the presbytery, stands out the work of Andrea Bregno (1490). Entirely made of white Carrara marble, the shrine contains the miraculous tile, still placed on the ancient tree.

Among Tuscania's churches, Santa Maria della Rosa is undoubtedly the most important of the medieval period, standing out for its size and construction effort. Its construction began in the 13th century and continued until almost the end of the 14th century, with subsequent expansions. The façade follows the rectilinear layout, although here the building's internal division was emphasized by leaving the wings slightly lower than the central body. The central body is dominated, in the upper third, by an elegant rose window punctuated by twelve radial columns connected by trefoil elements, while the lower third features a lunette portal flanked by twisted columns inserted into the double splay. The lunette is decorated with a fresco depicting the Madonna between two Saints, now illegible.
